November Marriage on Tap
Grab your spouse and join us for
Saturday, November 19th 6-8:30 pm
Marriage on Tap is a monthly date night designed to bring a healthy dose of fun, fellowship and enrichment to your marriage and to our parish family at large. ALL married couples are invited to attend (newly married, those with children any age and empty nesters) and lap babies are welcome. Childcare will be provided.
This month we will be doing a service project creating care bags for the Shelter House in Iowa City to hand out to the homeless people that come in to use their services. We will be filling these care bags with donated items and a staff member from the Shelter House will come speak to us about the number of people that they serve and what impact these care bags will have on these people.
If you are able, please consider donating items that we can put in the care bags. These items could include: socks, instant hand warmers, hats, gloves, travel size toiletries such as deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, hand lotion and hand sanitizer, as well as shaving cream, razors, toothbrush and chapstick.
Meal will be potluck so if you are able, please bring an entrée, side dish or dessert to share as well as beverages of your choice (beer, wine, soda, etc.) if you prefer something other than water, coffee or lemonade . Please register online at www.solonstmary.org if you are able to attend by Wednesday, November 16th. Questions? Contact Lindsey Carey at Lindsey@solonstmary.org.
