The 2021-22 Religious Ed. Year is underway with 250+ students registered from 137 families! We also have 28 catechists and many adults attending the Adult Faith Formation class. Wednesday night is very busy at St. Mary’s! From that total, 27 are sophomores, juniors and seniors attending the Youth Group class with Kevin Miller. Most of these students are coming directly from sports practice, so they are hungry. We are in need of volunteers to prepare and serve the food and donate side dishes. For those who have been through raising your children, you understand how hectic life can be. Let’s help these families out! Anyone that is interested can go tohttps://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f4fa9ab2ca1ffc70-stmarys. We need at least 2 for each night. The first name on the list will be the coordinator. We are also looking for snacks for the confirmation class. We are emphasizing “non-messy” for this age group.
There are four nights this year when the entire family is invited to attend, Nov. 17, Dec. 12, Feb. 23 and March 2. We want to offer a meal to everyone with a free-will donation. Hopefully we can make life easier for families when they don’t have time for a meal at home before they come. On those nights we will need 7 volunteers. Food can be charged at Sam’s Main Street Market or donated.
Please visit this LINK with meal suggestions and some prices (subject to change). Some meals can be made ahead or bought frozen and heated up. $20 each week can be reimbursed by a check from the church if a receipt is turned in to the parish office. Sam’s Grocery in town is able to prepare a ready to serve meal if you want to contribute but are not able to prepare the meal. There is also a link to a form we ask the coordinator to fill out that will help in planning future meals.
Our vision is that St. Mary’s will be a fun, enriching and spiritually fulfilling place for the entire family every Wednesday night.
