Prayer of Mothers

Picture
Father in heaven, grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity which you have conferred on me. Let me realize that not even the Angels have been blessed with such a privilege--
to share in your creative
miracle and bring new Saints to heaven.
Make me a good mother to all my  children after the example of Mary, the Mother of your Son.
Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary I ask your continued blessings on my family.
Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth and
attain the eternal happiness of your kingdom in heaven.
Amen.

Only a Human Mother Can

Picture
The most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral - dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny
perfection of her baby's body.

The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God's creative miracle to bring new
saints to heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creatures. God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of
creation."What on God's good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?'

Supporting Catholic Moms
By Mary DeTurris Poust
Mothers are often divided into categories: stay-at-home mom, working mom, soccer mom, super mom. But any mother will tell you that no single label could possibly capture the essence of what she does on any given day while caring for her children.   read more

The Hardest Part of Being a Mother
By Jacqueline Guidry
Each stage of a child's life presents its own
