What is Marriage on Tap?Marriage on Tap is a monthly date night (typically the 3rd Saturday of the month) designed to bring a healthy dose of fun, fellowship and enrichment to your marriage and to our parish family at large. Each month brings something different, whether it’s a speaker, social gathering, service project or educational DVD/discussion to help give you the tools at home to help make your marriage stronger. ALL married couples are invited to attend (newly married, those with children any age and empty nesters) and lap babies are welcome. Childcare will be provided.
This past year we have enjoyed some great speakers who have discussed The Beatitudes of Marriage and Living a Scripture Based Marriage and a panel of our very own parishioners who were willing to share some insights to how they have built strong marriages over the years. We also enjoyed a Christmas Party and Sweetheart’s Dinner as well as doing a couple of service projects, helping out the North Liberty Food Pantry on a Saturday morning and making tie blankets and donating them to the Women’s Shelter in Iowa City. This past June we enjoyed a Wine Tasting Bus Tour to three wineries in the area and spent the afternoon just getting to know other married couples in our parish. Throughout this past year we have built friendships with other couples and look forward to the fact that each month we have a set date night to help support our marriages with other couples who share the same values and beliefs. We hope that you will join us for one or more of our Marriage on Tap nights, whether you feel that you are struggling in your marriage or if you feel you already have a strong marriage, we feel everyone can benefit from each other’s experiences and support without feeling as if they are being judged. |
