Safe Environment
In 2003, the Diocese of Davenport implemented the Safe Environment Program which includes Protecting God's Children, VIRTUS, and
Background Checks. The diocese requires all parish or school employees, coaches, seminarians, priests and volunteers to have all these areas completed before they can be employed or volunteer with our children or vulnerable adults.
All employees/volunteers working with children more than 4 times a year,
must complete the VIRTUS on-line training "Protecting God's Children"
and have a back ground check every five years.
